2013 Something Sunday 1: Apron

I decided to add 2013 to the Something Sunday title this year so that I can start counting up from 1 again. I like the idea of seeing what week in the year I'm in, and having that marker each week. So that's the plan for the titles moving forward.

Anyway, enough chatter, on to the project!

Last week I made an apron from an old pillowcase (shown above), as a Christmas gift for my sister! I loooved the fabric from the pillow case, and I realized the white trim would make a perfect waste-band, so I went for it.

 After I had finished I realized the ties were super long, but I actually think it looks cute with the tie wrapping all the way around to the front. A nice little happy accident!

 As I'm writing this, I'm not sure if it has arrived in the mail to her yet, but I hope she's happy with it! :)
