I saw a quote while on my travels mid May that I absolutely loved. It was very simple "be here now". I really strive to be present in each moment and embrace the fact that life is right now, not just in a week when you get to go on a trip, or see an old friend, it's every single day... I know that seems obvious, but sometimes (okay, often) I get caught up living in the future. So this quote really stuck with me.
After seeing a post on Elise Blaha's blog about text art, I knew what I wanted to do with my new found quote.
I rummaged around my house for something to paint on (as I also wanted to be able to complete this project without buying anything new). I found an old wood back from a broken picture frame and figured it would work out just fine as my canvas.
To make the stencil I just cut out the letters from painters tape and arranged them on the board. Then I used some left over silver and black spray paint to cover the whole board, including the stickers. When I was happy with the colours I let it dry, and then pealed off the tape to revel the words.
I'm quite happy with how it turned out, and hope to do another one on a proper canvas or on a piece of wood without holes in it... but for now this will do!
