A new blog...

So after searching around the web a bit more, I have decided that I want to have a "blogspot" blog. Many of the other quilting blogs I want to interact with are here, so I thought I'd join in! (There are some GREAT quilt blogs here, and I want the chance to share and learn from them!)

To start out the new blog, and new name, I thought I would post my newest quilt!

This quilt is for my older sister Erika and her boyfriend Matt.

If you can't tell from the picture it is a lap size quilt. I used simple blue fabric for the solid squares and Moda Fabric for the patterned squares. Unfortunately I can't remember the line of fabric I used for the patterned squares, but I know I have it written down somewhere... Ill add it when I find it! The solid squares are from a flat sheet I bought at Target (when I was visiting the US).

Some details...

The back of this quilt is one of my favorites! I found this fun fabric at the Creative Festival in Toronto a few months ago. I think it makes the back a lot more interesting then just a solid blue.

This is a picture of all of the quilts I have finished so far! After starting quilting in mid 2009, I have finished 7 quilts.  (This quilt is 4th up from the bottom of the pile)
